Lethbridge College and Liquid Avatar Technologies creating a campus in the metaverse
Lethbridge College’s Centre for Technology, Environment and Design (CTED) has announced that it is partnering with Liquid Avatar Technologies Inc., a publicly traded global blockchain and fintech solutions company, to launch a first of its kind work-integrated learning opportunity for students. Liquid Avatar Technologies is providing 9,000 plots of land within its Aftermath Islands Metaverse – a network of spaces where users can create a virtual world parallel to their physical one.

Whether it’s discovering a new passion, experiencing hands-on learning or just having fun, Lethbridge College has a summer camp for everyone. The college offers a diverse mix of sessions on campus throughout July and August for participants aged six to 16.

As you begin to prepare for a part-time, summer or your next employment opportunity, it will be important to take stock of what you have already accomplished.
This document includes skills that you may have developed through part-time work, volunteering, or through class projects and assignments. Some of the most sought-after skills are highlighted in the chart. Get creative, use examples in your personal life to fill in the gaps where no coursework, volunteer or work experience exists.
Data from our 2018 Lethbridge Study indicates that on most issues, Lethbridge residents agree that Alberta farmers are engaging in environmentally sustainable and humane livestock production practices and that farmers should be primarily responsible for ensuring the environmentally sustainability of Alberta agriculture. Residents do, however, have concerns about the use of growth hormones in livestock production.
This report analyzes Albertans' opinion on five dimensions about environmentally sustainable agriculture practices within the province. Understanding that everyone has a role to play in ensuring Alberta agricultural practices are environmentally sustainable, when asked to choose who should hold primary responsibility, a clear majority of Alberta residents (57.4%) side with Alberta farmers, a considerable jump from the 46.3% who responded similarly last fall.
This report measures Albertans' advance care planning awareness and preparedness. Overall, Albertans are somewhat aware of advance care planning options but are relatively unprepared when formalizing decisions about their long term care.
