Student Success

The programs in Lethbridge College’s School of Media and Design begin the pathway towards a wide variety of exciting careers. This weekend, prospective students can see first-hand what each has to offer as they set up for three days at Park Place Mall.

From Friday through Sunday, Media and Design at the Mall will allow prospective students to talk to instructors, see exciting demonstrations and learn about the career prospects of everything from those who create incredible living spaces, to those who build cutting-edge websites, to those who design clothes for leading runway models and those who deliver the news to the masses through a variety of mediums.

The four highlighted programs include:

  • Digital Communications and Media – will showcase student work and allow prospective student to tryout program-related software
  • Fashion Design and Sustainable Production – digital presentations of student portfolios and career opportunities
  • Interior Design Technology – tryout virtual reality oculus glasses to take a walk through of a home and see student design work
  • Multimedia Production – experience a virtual reality game, watch a running demo of student work and try out program-related software

Prospective students can apply to Lethbridge College on the spot, or request more information to continue to explore their post-secondary opportunities. Everyone who fills out an information request card for the college will be entered into a draw for a $250 Lethbridge College gift card.

Media and Design at the Mall will take place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, across from the food court. More information is available on the Lethbridge College website.
