Lethbridge College Motus system to track flightpaths of migratory birds
The School of Environmental Sciences at Lethbridge College is eager to study more about the migratory flightpaths of animals as a relatively new collaborator on the Motus Wildlife Tracking System. A program of Birds Canada, Motus is an international collaborative research network that uses telemetry – the automatic measurement and wireless transmission of data from remote sources – to facilitate research and education on the ecology and conservation of migratory animals.
Fifth annual Tecconnect challenge gives students real-world opportunity
The fifth annual Tecconnect Challenge takes place for Lethbridge College students on Tuesday. Students from the Multimedia Production and Digital Communications and Media programs will have five hours, working in groups, to create a marketing plan and collaterals to help solve real-world challenges for a local entrepreneur.

Kodiaks Kits, which include both important information for new students and goodies have been sent to all new students as a way to welcome them to the college.

To say Tom Virag, the college’s Residence and guest services coordinator, is an expert in housing is true in more ways than one. Not only is he a key part of getting and keeping students settled on campus, but on evenings and weekends, he can be found in his woodshop, building houses for birds of a different feather.
Virtual roundtables help build connectivity between students
Lethbridge College is responding to student concerns about a lack of connectivity among peers by launching The Student Roundtable, a series of sessions running weekly throughout the semester where students are able to log in and connect with other students in an informal setting.
