Terri-Ann Fitz-Gibson

Terri Ann was appointed to the board for a three-year term effective May 7, 2018. Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Terri Ann is a graduate from Humber College in Toronto with a diploma in Advertising-Media Sales. After working in the private sector for Rogers Broadcasting in Canmore and Lethbridge, she joined Lethbridge College in 1996 as the educational liaison coordinator for Student Recruitment. Over the years, her role has evolved into her current position as student experience and assessment coordinator.

Throughout her time at Lethbridge College, Terri Ann has been a dedicated collaborator and has valued the opportunities she has had to learn ways to understand the needs of students. She says the opportunity she had to participate in the Institute on the Student Experience through the University of Manitoba’s Centre for Higher Education Research and Development helped her make the professional transition from recruitment and campus events into the position she holds today. She also points to the coaching and leadership mentors and development training offered at the college over the years in helping her thrive in her role. These opportunities for lifelong learning have provided Terri Ann with a holistic view of students, staff, and faculty interests. It has also given her great appreciation for the hard work of all of her colleagues here, who are the boots on the ground supporting our students’ success.

Terri Ann, her husband, Darin and their children are very involved in the tae-kwon-do community. She is also an avid volunteer and can be found at a variety of college events lending a hand wherever it is needed.
