Stefan Joseph is a student representative on the Board of Governors for the 2023-24 academic year. An international student from South Africa, Joseph is in his second year of the Computer Information Technology program. He is also the current president of the Lethbridge College Students’ Association (LCSA). Prior to coming to Lethbridge College, Joseph graduated from Brigham Young University in Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Business Management in 2021.
In his work with the students’ association, Joseph is focused on student advocacy. His goals are to ensure students’ needs are voiced, create an inclusive environment for students from all backgrounds and cultures, and create a positive, memorable college experience for students. Joseph says he understands the value of effective interpersonal communication and has already seen the positive effects of fostering a community of appreciation and acceptance in his role with the LCSA. Joseph credits his educational experiences to date for teaching him how to communicate effectively to achieve his goals. Outside of college, Joseph likes to spend time outdoors with his friends, playing video games and engaging in Dungeons and Dragons sessions.
