Lethbridge College is celebrating the success of four outstanding alumni with the 2024 Honouring Excellence Awards. Honorees this year include Distinguished Alumni Heidi Gravelle (Bachelor of Applied Arts – Correctional Studies 2005); Career Virtuoso Leta Pezderic (Fish and Wildlife Technology 2003, Renewable Resource Management 2002); Community Leader JP Gentile (Recreation Management 1996) and Rising Star Bryan Pachal (Massage Therapy 2018).

In need of a logo to identify a newly-formed organization aimed at boosting the regional economy, Canada’s Western Gateway Trade and Logistics Corridor turned to Lethbridge College for a student design.

More than 200 agriculture and bioengineering students, faculty, research scientists and industry representatives are expected at Lethbridge College July 23 to 26 for a national conference and Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Society for Bioengineering/La Société Canadienne de Génie Agroalimentaire et de Bioingénierie (CSBE/SCGAB).

A group of Lethbridge College Multimedia Production students just proved their mad marketable skills of flexibility, collaboration and innovative thinking by creating an online event that captures the essence of self-isolation and the role of technology to keep us connected. They planned, designed and marketed an online event called #CatchOurPhone.

On the heels of a successful inaugural event, Lethbridge College is pleased to announce that Merging Realities: An Event of Multiple Perspectives will move forward as an annual affair. On April 26, the college proudly hosted the world’s first full-day conference held completely in virtual reality.

Lethbridge College has received nearly a million dollars in new federal funding to level up its virtual and augmented reality research by hiring new staff and increasing its industry-driven research capacity.

An innovative campaign that brought together local home builders, tradespeople and suppliers to support college students raised $804,343 over the past five years.

Ashcroft Master Builder and Lethbridge College want to change the life of one deserving individual. Applications are now open for the inaugural Ashcroft: Giving Back scholarship contest, where the winning recipient will receive a scholarship worth up to $10,000 in any of Lethbridge College’s available programs.
