Emory Hache was appointed to the Lethbridge College Board of Governors for a two-year term beginning in January 2021. An employee of Lethbridge College, she began her time at the college as a Registration Specialist in 2017, before joining the Academic Advising team. She recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and Labour Relations from Athabasca University and was also a student in Lethbridge College’s Computer Information Technology program.

Born in New Brunswick and raised in the Maritime provinces, Hache spent time all over Canada and in Europe, and she has now lived in Lethbridge for almost 20 years. She has been an active participant with the AUPE chapter at Lethbridge College by volunteering with the Reclassification Committee, and she was one of the 2019 delegates to attend convention. By engaging in these discussions, Hache has gained insight into the collective bargaining process and the need for partnership with all stakeholders across the college.

Hache is a passionate lifelong learner and is currently a student member of the Human Resources Professionals Association, working towards her Certified Human Resources Professional designation. By participating and attending the events at the professional association, Hache has a view to the changing needs and demands in Human Resources in both private and public organizations and is working to establish valuable connections.
