Lethbridge College grad wins prestigious Vanier scholarship

The Lethbridge College community offers its congratulations to Tristen Brown, a 2018 graduate of the Civil Engineering Technology program, who was named one of 166 winners of the prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship earlier this month.

2018 Honouring Excellence award recipients announced

From their roots in southern Alberta, Lethbridge College graduates have gone on to have an influence in countless professions and industries around the world. This year, four of those alumni will join an expanding roster of graduates to have earned Honouring Excellence Awards, recognizing alumni who have set themselves apart in their lives, work and communities.

The Health and Safety Program aims to communicate health and safety obligations and responsibilities to employees, students, volunteers, visitors and stakeholders in order to facilitate and maintain a safe and healthy learning and work environment.

Ashcroft Scholarship winner receives life-changing gift

The winner of the inaugural Ashcroft: Giving Back scholarship contest, presented by Lethbridge College, was announced on Wednesday afternoon. Tyler Dow will have up to $10,000 of his education paid for. In January, he will begin working towards a Digital Communications and Media diploma

Congratulations to our Employee Excellence award recipients

Each year Lethbridge College recognizes and celebrates employees who go above and beyond to promote our core values of people, excellence and success. Winners are nominated by their colleagues for Service and Innovation, Leadership and Creating Community and Lifelong Learning awards to acknowledge their phenomenal contributions to the college and commitment to the community. This year’s seven recipients will be honoured at the college’s annual Employee Recognition Event on Feb. 29.

A month full of events and learning opportunities at Lethbridge College recognizing Black History Month will come to an end with a celebration on Thursday. The event will feature multiple speakers, an African dance performance and traditional African food.

New coulee plant walk highlights Blackfoot history

The Iissksiniip (Coming to Know and Learn) Coulee Walk is an interpretative self-guided tour that explores the traditional plants found in the area, explains their uses and shares some of the traditional creation stories of the Siksikaitsitapi, the Blackfoot Confederacy.
