Disability Grant Funding

If you are a student impacted by a permanent, persistent, or prolonged disability, you may be eligible for federal or provincial disability grants. If you plan on pursuing funding from either source, you should make an appointment with the Accessibility Services office to provide documentation, review academic support needs and submit applications to the appropriate funding bodies.

Dr. Kenny Corscadden has been named interim Vice President – Research and Partnerships at Lethbridge College.

Student-designed home wins provincial award

A student-designed home has won a provincial award. The Emberly, designed by Lethbridge College Interior Design Technology student Lina Wiebe for Ashcroft Master Builder, earned an Alberta BILD award for top single-family home under $300,000.

Lethbridge College Fall Convocation valedictorian announced

Multimedia Production student Denise Serrano has been named valedictorian for Lethbridge College’s Fall 2022 Convocation. She will lead the procession of graduates and speak at the ceremony planned for 1:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.

New tool turns Lethbridge College students’ work into real-world experience

The college has signed a partnership agreement with Riipen, a Canadian technology platform that facilitates micro-experiential learning opportunities by connecting students to industry partners. Students can work directly with an industry partner to complete work that benefits the partner, while also tying into the program curriculum, counting towards their classwork and academic outcomes.

People may be desensitized to the sight of litter on a riverbank or even the heaps of garbage bags collected during Lethbridge’s annual Coulee Cleanup. But a group of Lethbridge College students and their instructor are attempting to engage the public by telling the story of what that litter means to the environment.

Lethbridge College is offering a unique college experience – called Experiential Learning Week – to high school students from across southern Alberta. Approximately 150 students will have the opportunity to engage in an authentic and eye-opening college experience in an academic area that aligns with their interests.
