Lifeworks counselling

Lifeworks offers a variety of services to help you meet the challenges of achieving your personal, professional and academic potential. The primary form of support is personal counselling, which provides an opportunity to work collaboratively with a professional counsellor to solve personal issues.

Counselling can be sought for many reasons, including:

  • managing stress/distress
  • mental health concerns (like anxiety or depression)
  • suicidal thoughts
  • substance use/addiction
  • relationship stress
  • career and academic issues
  • any other personal issues you may be facing

Student Support Program

Lifeworks' Student Support Program (SSP) offers immediate, confidential assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year both online and over the phone (1-855-649-8641). You can access online, video, telephone or app-based counselling to discuss whatever is on your mind. There is also a wide variety of health and wellness information and articles available on the SSP website on topics like health, relationships, living away from home and student life.

Employee and Family Assistance Program

A confidential support service, the Employee and Family Assistance Program from Lifeworks is intended to provide college employees and their families with a broad range of work, professional, family and individual supports.

We know it’s challenging to find the right balance between work and life. And we know we can all use a little support from time to time. Through workhealthlife, you have access to a variety of reading and self-help materials as well as professional assistance for:
