Lethbridge College employees celebrate educational achievements
The pursuit of education extends beyond just the students at Lethbridge College, as numerous faculty and staff members invest the time to follow their own educational pathways. The college’s Alumni Engagement department hosted its first “You Are Remarkable” event, which recognized college employees who have completed PhD, master’s and bachelor’s programs over the past two years.
Disc golf course a popular addition to Lethbridge College campus
Spring is in the air and so are the discs at Lethbridge College’s newest outdoor amenity.
A nine-hole disc golf course was constructed in summer 2021, on the north green space near the tennis court entrance.
Lethbridge College, Southern Irrigation partnership grows irrigation research
A growing research partnership between Lethbridge College and Southern Irrigation will provide valuable insight that could help producers maximize their crop production. The college and Southern Irrigation are studying the opportunities created by subsurface drip fertigation, a method that applies water and fertilizer directly to the rootzones of plants through a series of pipes.
Lethbridge College exploratory program highlights options for high school students
High school students in southern Alberta are getting the chance to explore potential career pathways thanks to a new initiative at Lethbridge College. Exploratory programming allows students in Grades 10 and 11 to visit campus for a day and explore their program of choice. College instructors are on hand to deliver the programs, which help participants become more familiar with their chosen field of study.

Lethbridge College biology students take part in Coulee Cleanup
It was an eye-opening day of fieldwork for dozens of Lethbridge College biology students in the General Arts and Science program, who gathered in the river valley to not only clean up trash but to document every single piece of litter they recovered. Their involvement in the Helen Schuler Nature Centre’s Coulee Cleanup was part of a class assignment called the Stewardship Project.

Borea Construction and Lethbridge College have collaborated to offer three two-week training sessions for new Borea employees in the college’s Wind Turbine Technician lab.

Lethbridge College’s annual Troy Reeb Internship recipient announced
A Lethbridge College student will be learning the ropes in two of Canada’s major market media centres as the recipient of this year’s Troy Reeb Internship.
Nicholas Rabl, a first-year Digital Communications and Media (DCM) student, was selected for the internship based on a story proposal he submitted, detailing the racially biased treatment Indigenous people often face in off-reserve settings.
