To meet industry demand, Lethbridge College is expanding available seats in one of health care’s fastest-growing professions. The Health Care Aide certificate program will increase the number of available seats from 24 to 30 and will also add a new part-time online cohort for 16 students.

Peter Balagus (Environmental Science 1979) donated 24 birds of prey and a cabinet of about 200 other specimens, including small mammal skins, skulls and skeletons, bird skins and wings, which students can now use in their studies.

Lethbridge College’s Agricultural Enterprise Management (AEM) program kicks off this September, and those students enrolled in full-time AEM studies in its first year will receive a one-time $1,000 tuition credit.

 

On the heels of a successful inaugural event, Lethbridge College is pleased to announce that Merging Realities: An Event of Multiple Perspectives will move forward as an annual affair. On April 26, the college proudly hosted the world’s first full-day conference held completely in virtual reality.

The graduation ceremonies of the 2018 Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS) and Blood Tribe Police Service (BTPS) Cadet Training program took place in Medicine Hat on Friday afternoon. Eleven cadets took part in the 20-week training program. The cadets also received academic accreditation through Lethbridge College for the knowledge and skills they have acquired through this competency-based educational program.

The sale of a new home in west Lethbridge has led to an $81,002.65 gift from Stranville Living Master Builder to Lethbridge College as part of the final year of The College Home project. The lead builder and returning partner announced the donation this morning.

Mandy Gabruch, instructor with the new Agricultural Enterprise Management program, is happy to answer questions about Lethbridge College’s newest program, accepting students for the first time this fall. The program is a unique blend of applied skills and higher-level analysis of industry trends and issues that affect the business of agriculture.

Whether it’s discovering a new passion, experiencing hands-on learning or just having fun, Lethbridge College has a summer camp for everyone. The college offers a diverse mix of sessions on campus throughout July and August for participants aged six to 16.
