Prospective students of all ages are invited to Lethbridge College’s Winter Open House from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Attendees can take a 30-minute guided tour around campus, learn about the more than 60 certificate, diploma, degree and apprenticeship programs offered, meet some of the college’s expert instructors, and hear about a wide range of student support services.

Visitors are also welcome to try out a virtual reality headset in Centre Core or stop by the college’s state-of-the-art Kodiaks esports studio for a gaming demonstration and to chat with players and coaches.

A free lunch of vegetarian chili will be served between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. near the Food Court, courtesy of the college’s Culinary Arts program.

Information booths set up in Centre Core.

“Open House is the perfect opportunity for anyone considering Lethbridge College for their post-secondary journey to come to campus and see what we have to offer,” says Tom Virag, recruiter team lead. “Whether you’ve narrowed in on a specific academic centre and want to learn more, or are just looking for information in general, everyone is welcome to visit us Saturday.”

Open House is free to attend, but anyone interested is asked to register in advance for a chance to win one of three great prizes, including a hoverboard.

Attendees who want to apply to the college can do so at the event, and their $100 application fee will be reduced by 50 per cent. As a fun memento, a caricature artist will capture the day by drawing applicants in their future careers.
