Lethbridge College’s Gender-based and Sexual Violence Policy outlines the process for making a formal complaint. Formal complaints can be made by the person who was subjected to violence, a third-party who witnessed GBSV or anonymously. An anonymous report will be accepted, but the college’s ability to address the complaint may be limited. The policy is not intended to influence or stop individuals from exercising their legal rights outside of the college, including reporting an incident to police.

REES is an online, secure reporting platform. In it, you can document all that you remember about your experience. You can add to that record as more details come back to you. You can choose to keep those details to yourself, or if you choose, you can pursue a range of disclosure or reporting options, including reporting an employee to Human Resources or making a formal complaint about anyone on campus. Both options will instigate an investigation and formal process, outlined in the college’s Administrative Process for Students accused of GBSV or procedure for complaints against college employees
