Ashcroft Design Challenge winners named

A unique home design created by two Lethbridge College students has been named the winner of the second annual Ashcroft Design Challenge. Designer Jessica Banman and animator/virtual reality creator Teunieke Anker were announced as winners on Wednesday evening.

Indigenous students to be honoured with custom stole

Indigenous students who cross the stage at Lethbridge College’s Convocation ceremony will do so with a special symbol wrapped around their shoulders. The college unveiled a new custom-designed stole for Indigenous convocates at Tuesday evening’s Indigenous Honour Night. The stole will be worn for the first time at Friday’s Convocation.

Groundbreaking Merging Realities VR conference returns

After making history in its first year, Merging Realities returns for an encore. The world’s first conference about virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) to be held entirely in VR was hosted by Lethbridge College in April 2018. This year, Merging Realities is back on Thursday, April 25.

Nowicki, Clemons named top student-athletes at 2019 KODIs

Two Kodiaks who have etched their names in ACAC history have earned top student-athlete honours for the Lethbridge College Kodiaks. Cross country national champion Sophia Nowicki earned the award on the women’s side, while ACAC men’s basketball record holder Michael Clemons was the men’s recipient at the 2019 KODIs on Thursday evening.

Second year of Ashcroft Design Challenge provides opportunity for students

The second year of the Ashcroft Design Challenge saw Lethbridge College Interior Design Technology students pitch their home design concepts they have been working on since January to representatives from Ashcroft Master Builder on Monday afternoon. Ashcroft will select a winning design and will build the home, as well as offer paid internships to the winning team members.
