Lethbridge College offers new option for Early Childhood Education professionals working in the field

Lethbridge College is launching a new flexible option for early childhood educators who want to continue their education while continuing their work. The new Early Childhood Education (ECE) internship certificate program will start in January 2023 and has been designed for students who are already working as early childhood educators. Applications are being accepted now.

Lethbridge College signs on as Principal Member of Metaverse Standards Forum

Lethbridge College is now a Principal Member of the Metaverse Standards Forum. Founded in June 2022, the forum provides a venue for collaboration among companies and leading standards organizations around the world. The goal is to foster the development of interoperability standards for an open and inclusive metaverse. While the industry-wide forum is not responsible for creating metaverse standards, member organizations will cooperate to encourage their evolution and adoption.

Multimedia Production student Denise Serrano has been named valedictorian for Lethbridge College’s Fall 2022 Convocation. She will lead the procession of graduates and speak at the ceremony planned for 1:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.

Lethbridge College renews partnership with world-renowned safety training company

Lethbridge College and TEAM-1 Academy Inc. are building on an already successful partnership by announcing a renewed four-year agreement that will ensure students in the Wind Turbine Technician program continue to receive the best safety training possible. The latest commitment by TEAM-1 Academy is valued at $131,480 and follows a similar three-year agreement announced in 2019.

Sixties Scoop exhibit part of Truth and Reconciliation Week at Lethbridge College

Lethbridge College will unveil a public exhibit documenting the experiences of Sixties Scoop survivors as part of Truth and Reconciliation Week Sept. 26 to 30. The exhibit, along with several other initiatives taking place on campus, will encourage individuals to educate themselves on the history of Canada’s residential school system and its harmful legacy, while memorializing the children who were lost. It’s also a time to honour residential school survivors, their families and their communities.
