Galko Homes announced as presenting sponsor for annual Lethbridge College golf tournament
Lethbridge’s longest-running charity golf event returns to the links later this month with a new presenting sponsor. Galko Homes Master Builder is throwing its support behind the tournament that raises funds for student awards. As part of a three-year partnership, Galko’s involvement will help create a new student award named in honour of Chloe Galts, who founded Galko Homes along with her husband Marvin and his siblings.

Ashcroft Master Builder and Lethbridge College want to change the life of one deserving individual. Applications are now open for the inaugural Ashcroft: Giving Back scholarship contest, where the winning recipient will receive a scholarship worth up to $10,000 in any of Lethbridge College’s available programs.
Lions Club gift allows Lethbridge College to set its sights on helping visually impaired students
Lethbridge College has received a $50,000 gift from the Picture Butte Lions Club to support students on campus with eyesight limitations. The Ron LeClaire Memorial Award is named in memory of a long-time Picture Butte Lions Club member and will be used to create scholarships for students who are blind or visually-impaired.

Understanding that the financial reality of pursuing post-secondary education can be stressful for students, Lethbridge College actively works with community partners to create and offer student awards. This past year, a total of $1,084,505 worth of student awards were available to Lethbridge College students.
