“We’re calling because we care!” initiative

  • For the past year, the college has focused on learning more about our students to help us understand how we can help them be more successful, and meet their evolving needs holistically. As part of that effort, starting on Feb. 1, we begin the Lethbridge College “We’re calling because we care!” telephone campaign to new students who started at Lethbridge College for the winter 2017 semester. The primary objective is to reach out to students early in the semester to raise awareness and encourage them to access available Lethbridge College student supports and services. The initial calls are automated and ask seven brief questions related to academic, social, emotional and physical wellness. If students answer yes to any question, they will receive a personal follow up by the appropriate staff (by phone or email) providing help in a specified area. For more information, contact Nancy Russell or Shelley Carter-Rose
