I have a PhD in English from the University of Alberta. I have written two novels for young adults. My teaching pedagogy aims to foster critical learning skills in students through both print-based and non-print-based texts, and to encourage them to be self-sufficient learners, readers and writers.

Christopher Hotton, JD

I received a diploma in Business Administration from Lethbridge College, a Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge and a law degree from Brigham Young University. My teaching focus is business law, labour relations and financial planning.

Dan Kazakoff, MBA

I have 25 years of experience teaching and doing administration at the postsecondary level. I was also in the private sector both as a manager and as a consultant. I love teaching and focus on introductory business management, communications and business research.

Danielle Simard, PhD

I teach English and Film for CBAS. I have my PhD from the University of York, and I specialize in theories of fictional worlds.

Dorothea Nelson, PhD

Faculty
Dorothea Nelson served as a composition teacher, library director, and faculty advisor in online pedagogy. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of the West Indies, master’s at Aberyswyth University, and PhD in Education at the University of Calgary. Dorothea is a Quality Matters Certified Higher Education Peer Reviewer.

Greg Gibos, MEd

Greg has been an avid and active member in both our coaching and athletics in Southern Alberta. His background comes with rich experience in psychology, leadership, and counselling techniques. Greg looks to empower future students to optimize performance, and personal well-being through Postive Psychology.

Jeff Hamilton, M.Ed

I received a bachelor’s and masters degree in education from the University of Lethbridge. A focus in my masters degree involved using technology in learning. Since then, I try to focus on using tools that will be of benefit to students.

Natalie Barfuss, PhD, MBA

I moved to Lethbridge from Pincher Creek, AB, where I was the part-owner of an H&R Block franchise for 10 years. I have a background in marketing and management, and I enjoy working with businesses, especially non-profits, to help them build their organizations. I'm a member of the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce and volunteer with the Windy Slopes Health Foundation.
