Summary
I received a bachelor’s and masters degree in education from the University of Lethbridge. A focus in my masters degree involved using technology in learning. Since then, I try to focus on using tools that will be of benefit to students.

Professional Experience

Teaching Experience

I first taught in a K-9 school in Granum. In 1986 I was hired to teach Adult Basic Education in the Dorothy Gooder Campus of the Lethbridge Community College. I transitioned to teaching upgrading at the Taber Campus of the college. In 1997 I was seconded by the Centre for Teaching and Learning of the Lethbridge College to support faculty in using technology in teaching. In 2004 I returned to teaching upgrading on the main campus of the college.

Industry Work

I have taught computer classes to industry in addition to teaching the Instructional Skills Workshop.

Research

I have researched using different tools/methods related to teaching. For example, using DESMOS to facilitate math learning, using cell phones to communicated with instructors and how a flipped classroom helps increase student engagement.
