Project Description
The pre-commercial multifactorial trials occurred at Lethbridge College’s Brooks Research Greenhouse in close coordination with the Sunterra Farms greenhouse team. The trials compared glass greenhouses to double poly greenhouses and the results there increased productivity of strawberries and tomatoes in the glass greenhouses.
Results found that strawberry yield increased in yield up to 36% and tomatoes increased up to 47% due to better light conditions.
