Environmental Assessment And Restoration

• TWO-YEAR DIPLOMA  • SEPTEMBER ADMISSION

Do you have an interest in shaping the environment of the future? Do you want to restore and protect the planet’s land and water resources? Then get your feet wet and your hands dirty in the Environmental Assessment and Restoration program. This two-year program will put you at the forefront of saving our planet. In this practical program focused on soil and water, your classroom theory will be reinforced with hands-on application during labs and field trips that take you out into your future office – the great outdoors. Through a mix of science, law and technology, you’ll learn how to restore the resources our world depends on, improve water quality and reclaim abandoned industrial sites.

Requirements: High school diploma and Grade 12 English (30-1 or 30-2) and Grade 12 Math (30-1 or 30-2) and Grade 11 Biology (20) and Grade 11 Chemistry (20)

Renewable Resource Management

• TWO-YEAR DIPLOMA   • SEPTEMBER ADMISSION

Have you always respected the environment and the fish and wildlife that call it home? Then a career preserving their habitat might be right for you – and it starts in the Renewable Resource Management program. This intensive two-year diploma program is focused on biology and primarily deals with fish and wildlife. Textbook theory will come to life as you trek out into fields, forests, lakes and rivers to study animals and their environment, learning how to preserve their habitat for generations to come. You’ll be fully engaged in small classes taught by enthusiastic instructors who are recognized experts in the field.

Requirements: High school diploma and Grade 12 English (30-1 or 30-2) and Grade 12 Math (30-1 or 30-2) and Grade 11 Biology (20) and Grade 11 Chemistry (20)

Bachelor Of Ecosystem Management (BEcM)

Make the forests, mountaintops and fields your future workplace by building on your environmental sciences diploma in the Bachelor of Ecosystem Management degree program. Designed with input from environmental industry partners and delivered through two program streams, the degree prepares you for work in either environmental management and restoration or fish and wildlife management.

Requirements: Environmental Assessment and Restoration, or Renewable Resource Management diploma with a minimum GPA of 2.0

Natural Resource Compliance

If you’re thinking of a career in conservation enforcement, start in the Natural Resource Compliance program. You’ll put in two fast-paced years learning about natural resources and how to detect and investigate natural resource violations through a mixture of coursework, labs and field trips. With our blend of academic and practical learning, you’ll be equipped with the skills and knowledge to begin upholding the law and protecting the resources of our beautiful landscape and wildlife.

Take your passion for protecting the land, wildlife and fisheries resources to the next level in the Conservation Enforcement – Bachelor of Applied Science program. Through a proven blend of classroom theory, lab exercises and outdoor excursions, you’ll develop the skills needed to deal with problem wildlife, investigate violations, enforce resource laws and more. You’ll graduate with the knowledge and first-hand experience in natural and physical sciences and resource law enforcement to not only conserve the planet but sustain your future.
