These roundtables will take place during the coming months as Burns and members of the college’s leadership team engage in conversation with the college’s community partners.

For many in attendance it will be their first look at Lethbridge College’s new mission and vision statements, which were passed by the board of governors in June of this year.

Mission: Lethbridge College inspires and facilitates learning and innovation to meet economic and social needs.

Vision: Leading and transforming education in Alberta.

“We have claimed a bold vision and we are building a strategic plan that will take Lethbridge College to new heights,” says Dr. Paula Burns. “Working on regional stewardship is part of our process to best serve the communities of southern Alberta while building on our strengths and becoming a centre of excellence.”

Burns goes on to say that in order to define and build this type of transformation in education we must gather the input of stakeholders within the institution, as well as the feedback of our community and industry partners.

At this time, other gatherings are planned for Lethbridge and Taber. Among those invited to attend are elected municipal and local school officials, alumni, and industry partners.
