Get outdoors this weekend with Lethbridge College’s Be Fit For Life (BFFL). The BFFL team is hosting a family fun fest that runs from 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow by the Instructional Building on the college campus.

“So many of us are running in 1,000 different directions day-to-day,” says BFFL Project Coordinator, Stephanie Wierl. “Events such as the Get Outdoors family fun fest allow us to slow down and reconnect with each other. It’s important for each of us to be physically active outdoors as it provides us with the opportunity to interact with nature which can lower stress, increase mood and provide us with Vitamin D.”

This free community event has events for the whole family, including games, yoga, face painting, a bouncy castle and more. The day will also feature local country music star Trevor Panczak as he partners with BFFL to get active. Panczak will be performing on the main stage between 11 a.m. and noon.

This year marks the second annual Get Outdoors Weekend and it is sponsored by Alberta Health, and Tourism Parks and Recreation.
