Sept. 6, 2013 - Staff and students at Lethbridge College are excited to host Robb Nash on campus Tuesday as he travels from coast to coast sharing his dramatic and inspirational story.

Nash was 17-years-old when his skull was fractured in a head-on collision with a semi-truck; his injuries were so severe that paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. But before the ambulance arrived at the hospital, his pulse returned, and his long recovery began. After initially feeling overwhelmed with anger, self-doubt and depression following his accident, he eventually embraced a new outlook on life. Since then, Nash has been making music and speaking to young people around North American.

Nash and his band have brought their presentation to more than 180 schools through 150 shows each year. He speaks to over 50,000 students directly, and touches another 500,000 through other mediums like Facebook and YouTube. Nash exudes positive energy in story and song, and sensitively deals with many serious issues that he’s experienced first-hand. He relates directly to the youth of today and inspires them to make changes in themselves and the world around them.

“We are thrilled to have Robb Nash and his band come to our campus,” says Centre for Justice and Human Service Dean Marty Thomsen. “People of all ages and experiences will be inspired by the way he encourages his audience to find hope, even in difficult times. They will be putting on a memorable – and meaningful – show.”

Members of the community are welcome to attend the presentation at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium. Tickets are free although guests are asked to register online
