The month of April is highlighted by the 59th annual Convocation on April 22. But leading up to that exciting day, there are several other high-profile events taking place at Lethbridge College.

“The campus is filled with energy at this time of year as students, faculty and staff gear up for the end of the semester,” says Lethbridge College President and CEO Dr. Paula Burns. “As busy as it is, it’s important to take time to celebrate the accomplishments of our students. We have a number of great events leading up to the end of the academic year, and we invite the public to take part and share in our celebration.”

Events and activities taking place throughout the month of April include:

Student Entrepreneurship Program forum on April 7

Four students from Lethbridge College and one from the University of Lethbridge have the chance to make their mark on the business world. The Student Entrepreneurship Program is sponsored by the Regional Innovation Network of Southern Alberta (RINSA) and involves students pitching their real-world business ideas to members of tecconnect and Innovate Calgary. These are actual business ideas, with the students getting the chance to earn funding for their projects.

This year’s event will be held at 1 p.m. on April 22. The public and members of the media are welcome to attend. Join the college in celebrating the nearly 1,600 eligible graduates from the 2015-16 academic year from various programs.
