FOIP Law Enforcement Disclosure Online Form

This form is used to request the disclosure of personal information in accordance with section 40(1)(q) of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act which states that: 

40(1)  A public body may disclose personal information only

(q) to a public body or a law enforcement agency in Canada to assist in an investigation
                    
(i) undertaken with a view to a law enforcement proceeding,

        or

       (ii) from which a law enforcement proceeding is likely to result,
 

Section 40(1)(q) does not authorize the disclosure of personal information to a private citizen.
