Lethbridge College’s Engineering Design and Drafting Technology program has been granted a national program accreditation by Technology Accreditation Canada. The accreditation means graduating students will now have more advantages to begin their careers, earn higher wages and have flexibility to work anywhere in Canada.

Ashcroft Design Competition will bring Interior Design students’ designs to life

The Ashcroft Design Challenge officially launched on Thursday in partnership with Lethbridge College. First-year IDT students will come up with an original home design that is unique, innovative and reflective of what modern living in Lethbridge looks like. Those first-year students will then be paired with second-year students who will bring the design to life in virtual reality.

A unique home design created by two Lethbridge College students has been named the winner of the second annual Ashcroft Design Challenge. Designer Jessica Banman and animator/virtual reality creator Teunieke Anker were announced as winners on Wednesday evening.

Students were invited to submit designs for revamped City Hall flag poles, to be considered as part of the final selection process.

Data from our 2018 Lethbridge Study indicates that on most issues, Lethbridge residents agree that Alberta farmers are engaging in environmentally sustainable and humane livestock production practices and that farmers should be primarily responsible for ensuring the environmentally sustainability of Alberta agriculture. Residents do, however, have concerns about the use of growth hormones in livestock production.
