Advice from Current Students

Stephan Joseph
Lethbridge College Students’ Association President

Oki

New Students of Lethbridge College, my name is Stefan Joseph, I’m an international Student from South Africa. I’m a second year Computer Information Technology student and the current President of Lethbridge College Student's Association. I would like to welcome you to our vibrant and loving college found on the traditional lands of the Blackfoot people. You will come to realize the talent, passion, and friendship you can foster with our staff and your fellow students.

Whether you are enrolled for a semester, diploma, or degree program I hope you will remember and go forward with these three things in mind, by doing so I know you will have the best student life experience this college has to offer.

  1. Embrace the cultures of others and share your culture with everyone. You will be surprised at how many people will appreciate and support you.
  2. Make use of the many wonderful resources the college offers and get involved with as many events and clubs as possible.
  3. The memories you create here will be with you for the rest of your life, so take advantage of every opportunity that is presented to you and create as many positive memories as you possibly can.

I wish you all the best on this exciting new journey you are on, have fun and enjoy every bit of it.

If you need a place to crash or someone to talk to, please come through to the LCSA office, we are always ready and willing to help in whatever way we can. Our office is across the hall from the library and my office is always open to you.
