Professional Experience

Teaching Experience

I have been teaching at Lethbridge College since 2001 and became a full-time Faculty Member in 2007. In my time at Lethbridge College, my primary focus has been on Anatomy/Physiology, but I have also taught courses in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Nutrition, Physiology of Aging and even Volleyball. In addition to my teaching at the college, I have taught at the University of Lethbridge, the University of Calgary and New York Chiropractic College.

Industry Work

From 2010 to 2018, I was an Academic Chair in the Centre for Applied Arts and Sciences at Lethbridge College, responsible for the English Language Centre and Academic Upgrading. I sat on the College Board of Governors from 2006 to 2011, and prior to that I was a science lab coordinator and the Men's Volleyball coach for a period of time. I am currently a Board member at the Lethbridge YMCA and previously served on the admissions committee for the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. I have served on too many committees to remember, but highlights include the Canadian Bureau of International Education, Languages Canada and the Provincial Academic Upgrading Committee for which I was chair from 2013-2018. I am currently a member of the Human Anatomy/Physiology Society (HAPS).

Research

My research has spanned from the use of technologies in the classroom (iPod generation 2011) to generating succession planning and mentorship programs in International Education through CBIE, 2015. I am currently not involved in any research.
