The top men’s basketball teams in the ACAC converge on southern Alberta this week as Lethbridge College hosts the 2018 Cora Breakfast and Lunch ACAC Men’s Basketball Championship. The eight-team tournament runs from March 1 to 3 in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.

Celebrating and recognizing the diversity present on its campus, Lethbridge College is proud to once again celebrate Black History Month. The goal is to celebrate and raise awareness of the different cultures and backgrounds of those who make up the college community.

Lethbridge College instructor Florian Linder has made his way to South Korea as a technical coach for the South Korean bobsled team, marking his fourth Olympic experience.

In bounce-back seasons for both Kodiaks volleyball teams, a trio of players were rewarded for their efforts as the ACAC handed out its year-end awards last night. Kristine Ward was named to the women’s south all-conference team, while Dax Whitehead and Matt Primrose earned a spot on the men’s team.

For the first time in 13 years, the Kodiaks men’s and women’s volleyball teams have qualified for the ACAC championship in the same season. The Kodiaks men’s team will play in the ACAC championship tournament in Medicine Hat, while the women’s event is in Camrose, hosted by Augustana.

Showing its commitment to the Lethbridge community as a whole, Cora Breakfast and Lunch has been named the title sponsor of the 2018 ACAC Men’s Basketball Championships. The tournament, featuring the top eight men’s teams from the ACAC, will run from March 1 to 3 in Lethbridge College’s Val Matteotti Gymnasium.

Lethbridge College will welcome an Order of Canada recipient this week, as Sheldon Kennedy will host two screenings of his documentary Swift Current on campus on Thursday.

The third annual Tecconnect Challenge has the college's media students create inspired, meaningful designs for a client, before thinking about the art of the pitch as they try to get local entrepreneurs to buy into their creative vision.

Dr. Paula Burns, a lifelong educator who has served as President and CEO of Lethbridge College since 2013, has received the YWCA Women of Distinction Lifetime Achievement award.
