Lethbridge College is going back to basics for its outdoor play space. Located in the heart of the college’s campus, the current yard will be converted to a state-of-the-art outdoor play environment over the next few months.

Lethbridge College is pleased to host a number of ongoing and special events on campus in the coming weeks.

The very real world of virtual reality will be explored during an innovative industry-leading conference hosted by Lethbridge College. Merging Realities: An Event of Multiple Perspectives takes place on April 26. The conference features renowned guests from the fields of virtual and augmented reality.

The Lethbridge College Citizen Society Research Lab added online data collection to its tools for measuring public opinion, opening the door to potentially new opportunities for student researchers and community partners.

Lethbridge College students will get a feel for this action as they take part in an annual Simulated Learning Incident for Collaboration and Knowledge (SLICK) emergency exercise on Saturday.

The Child Care Director’s Association of Southwestern Alberta (CCDA) is hosting a conference this weekend at Lethbridge College titled “The Incomparable Learning Environment, Outdoor Play: There’s Nothing Else Like It.” More than 225 participants are confirmed to attend. 

Fifteen post-secondary partners have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will further enhance education options for students pursuing a business certificate, diploma or degree.

Lethbridge College is now a member of VR/AR Association (VRARA), a global organization connecting industries, educators and brands in advancing virtual and augmented reality. And, as the credit card slogan says, membership has its privileges — for the entire college community.

The design of Lethbridge College’s new Trades, Technologies and Innovation Facility has earned a prestigious industry award. The facility earned the award for top institutional wood design at the Wood WORKS! Alberta Prairie Wood Design Awards on Tuesday.

Lethbridge College is pleased to announce that Peter Weasel Moccasin will receive an honorary degree at this year’s college convocation ceremony. Weasel Moccasin will receive a Bachelor of Applied Science – Ecosystem Management degree at the ceremony on April 27 at the Enmax Centre.
