Lethbridge College Kodiaks Athletics received a game-changing $100,000 gift from long-time booster Flora Matteotti, on behalf of her late husband Val and herself, on Tuesday morning.

Where there is change and disruption, there is opportunity. That is the key message as the 20^th annual Tiffin Conference, hosted by Lethbridge College, takes place on Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Sandman Signature Lethbridge Lodge. Tickets are now available for southern Alberta’s leading conference on issues and trends within the red meat industry.

The Kodiaks are asking for support from that community and beyond as the My Kodiaks Moments giving campaign reaches its final week. The campaign is approaching its goal of raising $10,000 for athletic scholarships for student-athletes, but, like a cross country runner chasing down an opponent with the finish line in sight, it needs a final push to get there.

Lethbridge College and 11 other journalism schools from across Canada are joining forces to strengthen journalism education, creating a new organization called J-Schools Canada/ÉcolesJ.

Lethbridge College Kodiaks Athletics hosted its inaugural Alumni Weekend and began its My Kodiaks Moment online giving campaign in support of Kodiaks Athletics student-athlete scholarships. A $5,000 gift from Flora Matteotti on behalf of herself and her late husband Val spurred the opening weekend of the My Kodiaks Moment giving campaign.

The Lethbridge College Kodiaks are asking everyone to join their team and support coming generations of Kodiaks student-athletes through the My Kodiaks Moments online giving campaign. Donations of any amount are being collected and all money raised will support Kodiaks Athletics student scholarships.
