Kodiaks to Make Some Noise for Mental Health
The Lethbridge College Kodiaks are joining programs from across the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) to Make Some Noise for Mental Health this week. The campaign is designed to encourage empathy, understanding and open-mindedness while promoting resources and support available on campus for those who need it.
Federal Government gifts ‘invaluable’ soil monoliths collection to LC
A decades-old collection that helps identify a wide variety of soil types from across western Canada now resides at Lethbridge College. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) has donated 110 soil monoliths to the college.
Unearthing the history of a one-of-a-kind collection
Its history is murky. Its journey to its new home took more than 30 years. And any firm answers to fill in the blanks may have disappeared with an old photograph and the passing of one of southern Alberta’s leading soil scientists.
LC, LPS team up to provide training to police cadets from five agencies
Lethbridge College’s Police Cadet Training program welcomed a new class of 34 cadets this morning from five different agencies. This class is unique as it marks the first time in Alberta’s history that police recruits and community peace officer recruits will train side-by-side.

The Lethbridge College Kodiaks indoor track team begins its 2019 season this weekend at an ACAC Grand Prix event in Edmonton. The event begins a new era for the Kodiaks as Simon Schaerz officially takes over as the team’s head coach.

Familiar face takes over Kodiaks cross country and indoor track teams
The Lethbridge College Kodiaks didn’t have to look far for a new indoor track and cross country head coach, as co-coach Simon Schaerz has been promoted to the top job. Schaerz takes over from Bertil Johansson, the winningest coach in Kodiaks history, who retired in November following 32 years at the helm of the Kodiaks.
