Lethbridge College’s Geomatics Engineering Technology program has received national recognition. On Thursday, the Technology Accreditation Canada presented faculty with a certificate that signifies the program has been nationally accredited.

As new technologies emerge, they create a market for those who know how to make those technologies come to life. In this environment, Lethbridge College is on the leading edge as it launches two new programs for Fall 2019.

The Lethbridge College Kodiaks are planning to transform Spikeball from popular backyard party game to the next prime-time collegiate sport. Kodiaks athletics manager Todd Caughlin has officially unveiled plans to add Spikeball as the seventh Kodiaks sport, set for launch in the 2019-20 season.

Lethbridge’s longest on-going road race is getting a makeover for 2019. The 46^th annual Kodiaks 10/4 Road Race takes place on Saturday, April 6. This year’s event features a new river bottom course layout that will begin and end at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre.

A Lethbridge College student will get the opportunity to learn in two of Canada’s largest media markets thanks to a one-of-a-kind internship opportunity. Skylar Peters, a second-year Digital Communications and Media student, is the recipient of this year’s Troy Reeb Internship.

Learning for college students often comes within the isolated confines of their own programs. But this weekend, students from five Lethbridge College programs will need to learn to work together as they attend to a simulated emergency event.

Lethbridge College will celebrate all of the distinct cultures that make up its campus community at Bridging Cultures on Thursday. Live music, dancers, cultural displays and international food selections will all be highlighted during the event that runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.
