Food for Fines marks 30th campaign

Cindy Warner, an access services specialist in the Buchanan Library, has launched Lethbridge College’s 30th Food for Fines campaign, where food donations to the Lethbridge College Students’ Association Food Bank can be used to potentially forgive overdue charges in the Buchanan Library.

The man whose devastating prostate cancer diagnosis inspired annual Movember fundraisers at Lethbridge College seven years ago wants supporters to know he’s still battling – and he hopes you’ll join the fight. Vince Ellert, an instructor in the Agriculture program from 1996 until 2016, says he’s living proof of the difference research funded in part by Movember is making.

Lethbridge College will introduce a new workshop topic as part of its focus on addictions – sex and porn. Marie Damgaard, a psychology instructor in the college’s General Studies program, will present Sex and Porn Addiction: Myth or Reality.

Kodiaks Hall of Fame welcomes leaders to 2019 class

Two athletes, two builders and two teams are set to be inducted into the Lethbridge College Kodiaks Hall of Fame. The 2019 class, the second group to enter the hall, will be honoured during the upcoming Kodiaks’ basketball and volleyball weekend home stand on Friday and Saturday evenings.
