Local success stories headline 20th annual Tiffin Conference

That is the key message as the 20th annual Tiffin Conference, hosted by Lethbridge College, takes place on Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Sandman Signature Lethbridge Lodge. Tickets are now available for southern Alberta’s leading conference on issues and trends within the red meat industry.

The Government of Alberta has appointed three members to Lethbridge College’s Board of Governors. Brenda Brindle returns for a second term on the board, and will be joined by first-time members Elaine Dixson and Jamie Fisher.

Enrolment jumps at Lethbridge College

If the Lethbridge College campus feels busier than usual this year, that’s because it is. The college’s student population has surged for the 2018 fall semester with more than 5,100 students enrolled in college programming, a six per cent increase from fall 2017.

Lethbridge College opens a dedicated Pride Lounge for LGBTQ+ community and allies

Lethbridge College now has a dedicated space for members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies to meet and socialize. The Pride Lounge was officially opened by members of the college community, the Lethbridge College Students’ Association’s (LCSA) LGBTQ+ club and Alberta’s Minister of Advanced Education Marlin Schmidt, on Monday morning.

Coulee Fest returns to Lethbridge College for a second year

One year of celebration just wasn’t enough, so Lethbridge College is bringing Coulee Fest back to campus this year. Featuring live music, family fun areas, food trucks, academic showcases, beer gardens and much more, the free Coulee Fest community festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15.

Lethbridge College has a mission for those interested in agriculture, innovation and entrepreneurship. The Agriculture Entrepreneur in Residence (AgENT) program will launch in September by pairing students with local industry partners to solve real-world problems that affect the agriculture industry.
