Lethbridge College chosen for diversity and inclusion pilot project
Lethbridge College is making a commitment to identifying and improving its equity, diversity and inclusion on campus. The college is one of just 17 Canadian post-secondary institutions chosen for the Dimensions pilot program, a national initiative designed to foster transformational change within research bodies and post-secondary institutions.
New Deans to lead Lethbridge College into 2019-20 academic year
Lethbridge College will have new leaders in three of its academic centres for the 2019-20 academic year. Dr. Kevin Smith joins Lethbridge College, while long-time employees Dr. Terry Kowalchuk and Sheldon Anderson move into new roles.
Leeroy Stagger to headline Coulee Fest
Lethbridge College’s third annual Coulee Fest will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14, and will be headlined by a performance from internationally-renowned singer-songwriter Leeroy Stagger. Developers invited to flex their muscles at Alberta Game Jam
Create a new video game from scratch in just 48 hours. That is the task presented to participants of Alberta Game Jam, Alberta’s first province-wide hackathon-style event for game developers. From professional designers to amateur hobbyists, everyone is welcome to take part in the event that runs from Aug. 23 to 25. Lethbridge College will be the southern Alberta host site.
Lethbridge College internal communications specialist wins international award
Dawn Sugimoto, Lethbridge College’s internal communications specialist, has been named one of four SimpsonScarborough Scholars by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). She is the only Canadian to win the award this year.
Lethbridge College receives more than $1 million in federal research grants
Lethbridge College will receive nearly $1.15 million in federal research funding, the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport, announced this morning in Ontario.
The college will receive $1 million towards its Centre for Sustainable Food Production, while an additional $147,023 of funding will provide two Lethbridge College researchers with equipment vital to their work.

Troy Reeb to receive Lethbridge College Honorary Degree
Lethbridge College is pleased to announce that Troy Reeb will receive an honorary degree at this year’s convocation ceremony. Reeb will receive a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree at the ceremony on April 26 at the Enmax Centre.
Coulee Fest returns to Lethbridge College for year three
