Lethbridge College is ready to celebrate its fall 2023 graduates on Saturday, Oct. 14. More than 500 students are receiving degrees, diplomas, certificates and apprenticeship credentials from the college this month and approximately 180 of them are expected to cross the stage this weekend.

Digital Communications and Media student Rachel Gelowitz (she/they) has been named valedictorian for Lethbridge College’s Fall 2023 Convocation. She will lead the procession of graduates and speak at the ceremony planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium. 

Lethbridge College is announcing two new directors in its Centre for Applied Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CARIE) and its Facilities Management departments.

Lethbridge College will host several events next week on campus to help members of the community gain knowledge and confidence in integrating Truth and Reconciliation in their lives.

It was a full crowd in the Lethbridge College library Friday as seven new graduates of the college’s Police Cadet program received their academic certificates and badges. The graduating class completed 22 weeks of training in the award-winning program, developed in partnership with southern Alberta police agencies.

Family fun, food trucks, fantastic music and more are just four days away as Lethbridge College gears up to host Coulee Fest on Saturday. Supported by title sponsor, 1^st Choice Savings, this free annual event is the ultimate celebration of community spirit and all are invited!

Another academic year at Lethbridge College begins Tuesday, Sept. 5 with New Student Orientation (NSO), the annual event that welcomes new students to campus. 

Lethbridge College’s new Bachelor of Criminal Justice program will welcome its first students in September, marking the latest evolution in more than five decades of education in policing- and justice-related fields. This is the third bachelor degree program available at Lethbridge College, joining Ecosystem Management and Agriculture Science degrees.

Lethbridge College was well-represented at the world’s leading post-graduate criminal justice course this spring in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Two instructors, Aaron Eyjolfson and Seth Adema, accompanied six third-year Bachelor of Justice Studies students as they took part in the 37^th annual International Post-Graduate Course on Victimology, Victim Assistance and Criminal Justice May 15 to 27. The course brought together approximately 80 international students and 50 internationally renowned experts from the field.
