New interview rooms provide students with replicated work environments

Students enrolled in Lethbridge College’s Centre for Justice and Human Services (CJHS) can conduct a variety of interviews in a closed and safe environment thanks to the creation of new interview rooms where police statements or human services counseling can take place.

Environmental Science students share litter stories with school children

Students in Lethbridge College’s School of Environmental Sciences didn’t just research the problem of litter this fall; they shared their knowledge with elementary and junior high students. 

College students in Dr. Tali Neta’s Geographic Information System class worked in pairs to collect data such as photos, location and types of litter using a free mobile app called OpenLitterMap. Their data is now part of the app’s world map, and one of the students is one of the most prolific app contributors in Canada.

Experienced leader promoted to lead research and partnerships

An experienced researcher and academic leader who has led Lethbridge College’s Centre for Applied Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CARIE) to unprecedented growth is moving up to a new position. Dr. Kenny Corscadden has been named interim Vice President – Research and Partnerships at Lethbridge College.
