About 100 high school students from across southern Alberta cooked, built and designed for bragging rights, medals and thousands of dollars in prizes at the South West Regional Skills Canada competition at Lethbridge College Saturday.

Prospective students of all ages are invited to Lethbridge College’s Winter Open House from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Attendees can take a 30-minute guided tour around campus, learn about the more than 60 certificate, diploma, degree and apprenticeship programs offered, meet some of the college’s expert instructors, and hear about a wide range of student support services.

Lethbridge College to host wind turbine open house March 7
Lethbridge College’s state-of-the-art Wind Turbine Technician lab will be free to explore March 7 as part of the Wind Turbine Networking and Discovery event. While the first half of the day will be geared toward industry, the second half will include a career fair and open house from 4 to 7 p.m. in TT1951, in the Trades, Technologies and Innovation Facility.

More than 80 southern Alberta employers will be at Lethbridge College on Thursday for a career fair. Free for Lethbridge College students and alumni, the event will give attendees the opportunity to explore summer job or career options, ask questions of employers and distribute resumes.
