Lethbridge College director appointed to international advisory board

A Lethbridge College director will represent Canada and have global influence in his area of expertise: coaching education. Jason Donkersgoed, director of LC Extension, has been appointed to the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Coaching Education Global Board of Directors. The prestigious seven-member board is committed to advancing the coaching profession worldwide and includes representatives from Switzerland, China, Puerto Rico, U.S.A. and Canada.

Lethbridge College grad wins prestigious Vanier scholarship

The Lethbridge College community offers its congratulations to Tristen Brown, a 2018 graduate of the Civil Engineering Technology program, who was named one of 166 winners of the prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship earlier this month. The scholarships, only 55 of which are given in the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), are valued at $50,000 a year for three years, and are awarded to graduate students in Canada who demonstrate leadership skills, research potential and academic excellence in their studies.

Three new members appointed to Lethbridge College Board of Governors

The Government of Alberta has appointed three new members to Lethbridge College’s Board of Governors. Marni Hope (Miisomii’kitsikaakii/Long Time Offering) is beginning her three-year term as a non-academic representative while student members, Niculina (Nicky) Jensen and Stefan Joseph, will serve on the board for the 2023-24 academic year.
