Ford of Canada donates new vehicles to Lethbridge College

Students in Lethbridge College’s automotive programs have received a boost from Ford of Canada and Dunlop Ford. The college received two new Ford vehicles, which will provide students with the opportunity to get hands-on training with some of the latest technology available in vehicles.

Additional financial support provided for students during unprecedented demand

Lethbridge College is responding to help students affected by unprecedented financial demands and challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic. During the Fall 2020 semester, the college reacted quickly to make available $200,000 of emergency funding to students to assist them in continuing from the Fall semester to Winter semester.

Lethbridge College has launched its Ready to Rise campaign that brings the community together to support its students. With a $1 million goal, the campaign will allow the college the ability to address its students’ most pressing needs, including mental health and wellness resources as well as additional financial support.

The Lethbridge College awards application system is now open. For students about to graduate from or continuing their studies at Lethbridge College, they have until May 1 to apply for a wide range of financial awards.

Hanlon Ag supports students with industry-driven gift

Hanlon Ag Centre Ltd. is continuing its long-standing support of Lethbridge College by providing equipment, installation and training on its precision agriculture system. The gift, valued at nearly $100,000, will be of immediate benefit to students in the Agricultural and Heavy Equipment Technician certificate and apprenticeship programs.

Corus Entertainment supports broadcast and online journalism students

Corus Entertainment is investing in the future of Canadian journalism, with a $52,000 gift to Lethbridge College. The gift will support the creation of a state-of-the-art active-learning newsroom, as well as create new awards that will financially support Digital Communications and Media students.
