Helping students rise up has never been easier, and now those who help have the chance to win big. Tickets for Lethbridge College’s Ready to Rise 50/50 Lottery are available now for anyone who lives in Alberta.
Contributing to the Ready to Rise 50/50 Lottery helps ensure a student’s education will not suffer because of their financial status. Fifty per cent of the proceeds from the lottery will contribute to helping the campus community address the most pressing needs of students, while the other 50 per cent will be presented to one lucky winner. Proceeds will go to the Ready to Rise Fund, which supports students in the form of student awards, scholarships and bursaries.
“Our students are hardworking, resilient and adaptable,” says Oliver Twizell, Director of Development and Alumni Engagement. “When we ensure they have financial stability, we put them in a position to focus on their learning, which sets them up for future success. The Ready to Rise Fund provides an opportunity for our community to show its support for students in a meaningful way.”
The winner will receive a minimum cash prize of $4,000 or 50 per cent of ticket sales (whichever is greater), up to a maximum of $10,000. A variety of ticket packages are available, beginning at $10 for one ticket, $20 for four tickets, $50 for 20 tickets, or the best value, 100 tickets for $100.
The Ready to Rise 50/50 Lottery is a great chance for alumni, students, employees and community members to show their support for Lethbridge College and its students. All Alberta residents who are 18 years of age or older can purchase tickets.
