One of the biggest Canadian women’s basketball events of the year is happening at Lethbridge College next March and interns are being drafted now to assist in the action.

The BMO 2012 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Basketball National Championships will be held at Lethbridge College March 15-17, 2012. Seven of the top women’s teams in Canada will join the host Kodiaks in the national spotlight during this event.

Kodiaks Athletics Association, in support of Lethbridge College, is looking for a variety of interns to help coordinate the event.This is an opportunity for post-secondary students to gain meaningful, hands-on experience while building their resumes. At the end of the internship, students are eligible to receive a bursary from Alberta Advanced Education and Technology.

The intern positions are offered in cooperation with Serving Communities Internship Program (SCiP) – a collaboration between the Government of Alberta and Volunteer Alberta.

To apply, you must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or international student with appropriate authorization from Citizenship and Immigration Canada to participate; you must also be enrolled in a part- or full-time certificate, diploma, undergraduate, graduate or PhD program at an eligible post-secondary institution.
