Lethbridge College has been awarded a Business of the Year Award in the Change and Innovation category. The award was presented by the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce and the Business Development Bank of Canada last week.

The college received the award in recognition of its commitment to excellence and innovation. Its recent collaborations with industry have challenged the college to find solutions to real-life problems. The award cited the college’s partnership in the Living Home project, and its patent application for SimlLeggings, a medical training innovation.

Applied research is an integral piece of college programming and often comes with ground breaking results,” says Dr. Tracy Edwards, Lethbridge College president and CEO.  “This award recognizes the advanced effort of our students, faculty and staff in working towards building a knowledge-based economy.”
