Oct. 25-29 is Lethbridge’s 1st Carpool Week, so spice up your lonely drive home from work by squeezing a few coworkers into your car, or leave your car at home and catch a ride with a neighbour. Since 79% of Canadians make the trip to and from work alone, The City of Lethbridge is encouraging you to sign up at www.carpool.ca, a free carpool matching database provided to help you hook up with other commuters and form carpools.
Signing up during Carpool Week automatically makes you eligible to win prizes. Prizes can also be won by sharing a carpool story and participating in Carpool.ca‘s new ‘Trip Tracker’. The ‘Trip Tracker’ can be used to measure individual, corporate or regional savings resulting from reduced trips.
