Monday, May 6 and ongoing 

Spring hours now in effect 

If you’re visiting Lethbridge College, be aware that spring and summer hours are now in effect.  

  • The Culinary Market is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, serving breakfast, snacks, soup and sandwiches. The hot buffet will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., weekdays, except holidays. Longer hours return for the fall semester. 
  • Library services are now closed on weekends. From now through June 26, library services are available from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, except Victoria Day (May 21). From June 27 to Aug. 31, hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, except when closed on the Mondays for the Canada Day weekend (July 2) and Heritage Day (Aug.6). The Buchanan Library is undergoing renovations this summer so some services have moved to the IB Commons in the Instructional Building.

Public invited to Lethbridge College Applied Research Conference 

This is the final week to register for Lethbridge College’s Applied Research Conference, an all day, free, public event happening May 14. This is an opportunity for the public and Lethbridge College employees to learn more about the applied research projects being conducted on campus by college researchers, working in partnership with the community and industry. The conference will feature presentations in the areas of agriculture, aquaculture, justice studies, early childhood education, microbiology, citizen science and others. A keynote lecture on the importance of applied research for Canadian colleges will be given by Mr. Ray Hoemsen, Executive Director of Research Partnerships and Innovation at Red River College. The conference runs from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. May 14 and includes lunch. Participants must register online by May 10.

Largest one-day leadership event telecast on campus 

KidSport Lethbridge and Taber is making Leadercast Live, the world’s largest one-day leadership event, available in southern Alberta. The telecast will be held in Lethbridge College’s IB Theatres. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the conference starting at 8:30 a.m. The conference theme is Leading Healthy Teams. This year’s featured speakers include award-winning chef Marcus Samuelsson, author Patrick Lencioni and CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King. For details, please contact KidSport Lethbridge and Taber.
