A full day of entertainment will be capped by Ontario-based brothers Lemon Cash, which will follow a set from award-winning Alberta-based artist Hailey Benedict.

Lethbridge College Business Admin courses get nod from CPA and grads

For many students, the road to becoming an accountant begins at Lethbridge College, with Business Administration courses that are Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) – approved. CPA is Canada’s only accounting designation. This year, Lethbridge College courses received credit again from CPA, continuing a strong relationship that began many years ago with the former designations of Chartered Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and Certified General Accountant.

Lethbridge College is throwing open its farm gates to showcase all it has to offer to Western Canada’s agricultural community. The college is hosting its first Field Day on July 13, which gives ag professionals and farmers the opportunity to tour the college’s research farm, meet with researchers and learn how the college’s rapidly expanding Centre for Applied Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CARIE) is ready to meet industry needs.

Huddling in front of a computer monitor, with fish tanks burbling a few metres away and small seedlings growing in adjacent trays, Lethbridge College Computer Information Technology (CIT) student Shealyn Cossette seems to be right in her element. Cossette, who is completing her CIT diploma over three years as she waited out the pandemic, says the real-world conditions in the Aquaculture Centre of Excellence (ACE) provide a true test of the interfacing and networking skills she’s learning in class.
