The most decorated program in Lethbridge College athletic history added to its collection on Saturday. The Kodiaks cross country team claimed two gold medals and added a bronze at a very successful 2018 ACAC Cross Country Championships hosted by Lakeland College in Vermilion.

Kodiaks’ Carey earns double coach of the year honours

Lethbridge College Kodiaks soccer head coach Sean Carey has earned a historic honour, being named both women’s and men’s coach of the year in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) south division. Carey is the first coach to ever earn both the men’s and women’s awards in the same season.

Kodiaks soccer teams hit the pitch for ACAC championships

For just the second time in program history, both Lethbridge College Kodiaks soccer teams have qualified for the playoffs in the same season. The women’s and men’s teams head to SAIT for this weekend’s ACAC championships.

It’s officially Kodiaks season, as the new Lethbridge College volleyball and basketball campaigns begin this weekend. The basketball teams open at home on Saturday, while the volleyball teams are on the road.

Kodiaks cross country ready to Run for the Pumpkin

The Lethbridge College Kodiaks cross country team will get the benefit of a home course this weekend, as the team hosts the Run for the Pumpkin. Running in conjunction with the annual community event, the ACAC Grand Prix marks the first time since 2015 that the Kodiaks will host a conference race.

Most decorated coach in Kodiaks history to hang up the cleats

After more than 30 years at Lethbridge College, the most successful coach in Kodiaks Athletics history will officially retire in November. Bertil Johansson will end a decorated career as cross country and indoor track coach who led teams and athletes to more than 100 conference and national honours.

Kodiaks soccer to “play for Payden” as new season begins

A new season begins on Saturday for the Lethbridge College soccer teams. The women’s side will get a motivational boost from the return of teammate Payden Olsen to the sidelines, just over a month after losing her right foot in an accident at her home in Cardston.
